About The Position

This is a temporary leave-coverage assignment with the potential to be extended. Marriott International is seeking a FLEX Senior Administrative Assistant to join the Global Operations team, which enriches the stay experience by creating value for guests and owners while advancing authentic hospitality. This role provides administrative support to the Chief Global Operations Officer and other department leaders. The Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative support, including proactive calendar management, domestic and international travel planning, completing expense reports, processing invoices, updating organizational charts, coordinating performance reviews, coordinating work-readiness activities for new department hires, and performing other duties as assigned. Event planning responsibilities for this role will vary but may include planning, agenda creation, and execution of leadership meetings and Town Halls.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a related professional area; or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, and 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a related professional area.
  • Experience executing core administrative processes (e.g., calendar and schedule management, drafting department communications, and managing processes such as expense reports and time sheets) and using advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook and basic proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience navigating department and company missions, functions, organization structures, policies, and procedures; as well as developing and maintaining relationships with other administrative staff, particularly those supporting executives

Responsibilities

  • Provides executive administrative support to the Chief Global Operations Officer and other department leaders, including managing calendars, organizing team meetings and materials, booking travel, processing expense reports, maintaining files and electronic documents, and supporting day-to-day leader and team operations.
  • Responds to routine and complex requests on behalf of leaders and exercises judgment in managing competing priorities.
  • Drafts, edits, and manages correspondence, presentations, reports, official legal notices, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders, including owners, customers, and senior executives.
  • Helps coordinate departmental operations, including expense reconciliation, budget support and variance analysis, event planning, onboarding/offboarding logistics, office space coordination, department inventory management, department calendar updates, org chart maintenance, and other recurring administrative processes.
