About The Position

This position will be a key member of the Annuity Modeling team, responsible for developing and testing Prophet models for new and current annuity products. The role focuses on Prophet modeling and development for the FA/FIA Prophet model, with opportunities to contribute to broader departmental projects such as Prophet Enterprise usage and Assumptions Management.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an ASA or FSA designation with the Society of Actuaries
  • Strong computing and programming skills
  • Strong actuarial and financial skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing business priorities

  • ASA or near ASA preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and timelines for the FA & FIA Prophet model, including creation, building, updating, enhancing, running, and validating the model.
  • Analyze model results, including reconciliation and attribution of changes.
  • Communicate results to management.
  • Provide detailed documentation of model results and processes.
  • Implement and test new software releases, library updates, new products, new regulatory requirements, and shared table changes in the Prophet environment.
  • Optimize models to adhere to coding standards and improve performance.
  • Evaluate new features and modeling approaches for potential use in models.
  • Stage model inputs using Data Conversion Systems (DCS) and Assumption Manager.
  • Potentially manage other students as an introduction to management.
