About The Position

Amyx is seeking to hire a Senior Acquisition Specialist located in Falls Church, VA. This role involves executing the Requisition Develop Process (RDP) and RDP Communication Plan to assist the Requiring Activity in developing complete and comprehensive Procurement Requisition (PR) packages. The specialist will ensure compliance with the RDP and RDP Communication Plan, proactively facilitate communications between stakeholders, and update workflow status within acquisition tools like the Requisition Development Tool (RDT) or Unified Acquisition Portal. They will also coordinate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), analyze requirements, provide technical advice, and review PR packages for completeness before transfer to the contracting office. The position serves as the Requiring Activity point of contact and monitors acquisition portals for new actions, assigning tasks and executing communication activities. Additionally, the specialist will participate in meetings, document lessons learned, respond to data calls, and maintain procurement mailboxes and website content. Tracking contract milestones and providing accurate responses to management requests are also key responsibilities. The ability to communicate accurate information is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a business-related field. Business related fields include: Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance, Industrial Management, Law, Marketing, Contracts, Quantitative Methods, Purchasing, and Organization and Management.
  • Must have achieved Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certified - Contracting Level II or equivalent.
  • Must possess at least ten (10) years of progressively increasing responsibility in federal acquisition planning, execution, and administration activities, five (5) of which should be DoD-related.
  • The ten (10) years of experience may be reduced to five (5) years of progressive experience if combined with an Advanced Business or Business related degree.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the Requisition Develop Process (RDP) and RDP Communication Plan to assist the Requiring Activity in developing complete and comprehensive Procurement Requisition (PR) packages.
  • Fully understands and complies with the RDP and RDP Communication Plan.
  • Proactively facilitates communications between stakeholders.
  • Updates in a timely manner the workflow status within the Requisition Development Tool (RDT) or Unified Acquisition Portal (inclusive of RDT, Military Health System (MHS) portal and other tools for acquisition as they are identified) on assigned actions as they progress through the RDP, and updates and maintains the Milestone Plan for specific actions.
  • Coordinates, plans, organizes, and directs an Integrated Product Teams (IPT) with input and support from other analysts and subject-matter specialists.
  • Analyzes requirements and provides technical advice and assistance to customers to clarify requirements, develop Statements of Work (SOW)/performance work Statements (PWSs), develop acquisition strategies, and/or resolve problems.
  • Reviews completed PR packages to determine that all file documents are signed, that there are no administrative actions pending, and that the documentation within the PR package are complete and ready to be transferred to the contracting office.
  • Serves as Requiring Activity point of contact once a requirement has been entered into the RDT or Unified Acquisition Portal (inclusive of RDT, MHS portal from inception of a GOV-ID, DOP or CAE number to acceptance of a PR package by a Contracting Office.
  • Monitors the RDT or Unified Acquisition Portal (inclusive of RDT, MHS portal for new requirement actions, assigns actions to personnel, and executes communication activities in a timely manner to the Requiring Activity.
  • Participate in weekly meeting with the DHA Request Submissions Portal Triage teams on assigned actions and provides an open action status report.
  • Documents lessons learned and recommended refinements to the RDP and provide documentation to APSO leadership quarterly.
  • Proactively communicates with and responds to customers (internal and external) in a timely, courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Maintain APSO’s procurement Mailbox, MHS Submissions Portal mailbox and assist with website maintenance to include upload of data collected from customer requisitions.
  • Track contract milestones and notify the Requisition Owner 5 workdays before milestone is met.
  • Provide accurate responses to data calls and requests for information from management within the required timeframes.
  • Input / assign requisition package information into automated RDT system and ensure data is current and accurate.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information
