About The Position

EvenUp is looking for a high-impact Accounting Manager for their growing team who is ready to roll up their sleeves and build with them. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of leadership and execution. You will be the backbone of our daily accounting functions while simultaneously building the scalable processes that will support our future. You love the "scrappiness" of a startup environment and find equal satisfaction in mentoring a team and personally nailing a complex reconciliation. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working at least 3 days a week from one of our office hubs.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including payroll, with exposure to international financial operations such as foreign subsidiaries or cross-border transactions preferred.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Comfort working in modern financial systems and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset. You seek to understand the story behind the numbers and are motivated to deepen your expertise over time.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy. You take ownership of your work and consistently deliver on deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end process for payroll, taxes and managing the annual audit.
  • Oversee accurate data entry and timely processing of invoices.
  • Manage 2 accountants.
  • Help lead and identify ways to leverage our software suite to automate manual tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Partner with teams across the company to ensure spend is tracked correctly and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a high bar for accuracy, ensuring that all financial records are audit-ready.
