About The Position

AIR Communities is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting (Treasury) to join their centralized team in Denver, CO. This role will lead treasury accounting efforts, focusing on cash, cash management, and settlements. The position involves process improvement for Accounts Payable, Intercompany, and Bank Reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with strong skills in creating and executing efficient processes for consistent results.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience related to the oversight of processing and recording accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a team, preferably in Treasury
  • Confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior executives and business leaders.
  • Thrives on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward.
  • Consistently practices strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of accountants responsible for AP, AR, bank reconciliations and payment processing, providing guidance, mentorship and support.
  • Oversee technical accounting and reporting requirements related to treasury accounting functions, specifically cash, ap, and intercompany.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create effective and efficient processes and optimize systems, including enhancing Kyriba for cash management and forecasting and the Blackline reconciliation tool.
  • Develop automation opportunities and oversee solution management, including matching for AP in Blackline.
  • Manage audit and SOX workflows, acting as the external auditor liaison.
  • Direct and maintain the relationship with AP/AR and cash stakeholders.
  • Apply advanced accounting concepts, theories and principals to develop solutions to problems.
  • Adhere to GAAP and company policies and procedures and other regulations.
  • Set department and staff goals based on overall department or company goals.
