About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. This role involves managing the general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting functions, as well as analyzing accounting data to produce accurate financial statements. The ideal candidate will establish and enforce accounting policies, coordinate annual audits, and recommend system improvements. This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA needed.
Minimum of 4 + years of progressive audit experience.
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Meet financial accounting objectives.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
