About The Position

Reporting to our Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager oversees the accounting department's daily operations and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting. This role manages general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes, financial compliance, and internal controls. The Sr. Accounting Manager supervises accounting staff and works cross-functionally to support business operations and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Supervise the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or applicable accounting standards).
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Coordinate annual audits in partnership with the Controller, serve as liaison with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow processes.
  • Review reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
  • Develop, mentor, and supervise accounting staff.
  • Support system implementations and process improvements within the finance function.
