Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in senior accounting roles with a focus on financial reporting
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise/QBO & Conversion experience a plus ++
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills to clearly present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with process improvement and automation in accounting functions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Canadian Accounting practices a plus ++
  • Dual Citizen Canada/USA a plus ++

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support management decision-making and strategic planning
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality, timely financial reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Optimize accounting processes and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with auditors during audits and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures as needed
  • Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to manage financial data and reporting functions effectively
