As a full-time member of our professional staff in our Buffalo office, you would have senior bookkeeper responsibilities with a core focus in our Outsourced Accounting Solutions (OAS) practice. Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in Accounting
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to identify issues
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, manage time and accomplish results within deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook is required
  • Experience in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software packages
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting with 2+ years Accounting Experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and review bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
  • Manage the monthly close process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement review.
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain and improve client accounting systems, including process optimization and best practices.
  • Oversee A/P, A/R, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and budgets to support client decision-making.
  • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports and serve as a client resource.
