About The Position

The Chief Accounting Office is seeking a detail-oriented analyst to join the Tax Accounting team. The position supports month-end financial close activities, including preparing accounting records and reconciliations. The successful candidate will analyze financial results and help identify and implement process improvements to enhance the team's operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency using Alteryx for data analysis and automation tasks.
Ability to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in tax processes using technology.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred, but not required.
Big 4 experience is a plus.
Experience using Corptax Software.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly recordkeeping for U.S. and Canada indirect tax accounting journal entries, including accruals and payments related to Sales & Use, Personal Property, and Canadian GST/HST/PST/QST.
Complete monthly account reconciliations for direct and indirect tax accounts and prepare journal entries to correct account balances, such as account reclassifications.
Analyze monthly indirect tax operating results to facilitate presentations to management.
Maintain a strong internal control framework, including documentation and testing.
Use technology to drive process improvements and create a streamlined, organized, and simple operational workflow.
Prepare and submit quarterly and annual income tax accounting entries as needed.
