Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5 years of experience in accounting, with progressive experience in accounting and/or financial planning
  • Strong knowledge of financial budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical, problem –solving and data interpretation skills
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office Professional Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (modeling, data analysis and reporting)
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement relationships

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within a nonprofit, grant-driven, or multi-program environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar integrated accounting and planning systems
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ability to apply them in financial analysis and reporting
  • CPA license

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for the development of budgets and forecasts company-wide
  • Manage company leases using lease software
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to management and department leaders
  • Support grant lifecycle activities, including budget development, financial tracking, and billing, ensuring compliance with funding requirements
  • Utilize financial systems and tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data, improving reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of financial results and alignment with forecasts
