About The Position
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Foundation’s Finance Department providing financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts; preparing reports and additional support as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication & writing skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Strong ethical standards
- Ability to multitask multiple projects and supervise personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Sage
Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining financial records
- Completing special projects
- Correcting errors by posting adjusting journal entries
- Maintaining general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable details and accounts payable ledgers
- Keeping information confidential
- Maintaining accounting controls by following policies and procedures
- Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
