Applicants within a 60-mile radius of Phoenix should expect a hybrid work arrangement, with occasional in-office collaboration. Remote candidates outside the Phoenix area will still be considered. This allows us to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong experience with: Accrual accounting, Job costing, Posting period management, Month-end and year-end close
  • Solid understanding of: Income statements and balance sheets, Departmental reporting and cost allocation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power BI a plus, not required)
  • Comfort working independently and owning your work
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 100 Contractor or Acumatica (1+ year required)

  • Construction or contractor accounting
  • Cost accounting experience (2+ years)

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly accounting activities
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Complete account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage and execute month-end close
  • Maintain accurate job costing and cost allocations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Support audits and documentation requests
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and timely financial records
