The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, taxes and other standard financial transactions within an organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Must have 5+ years of accounting experience
  • General Ledger Accounting experience, with a strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting concepts
  • Advanced analytical experience
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate, reliable, and organized
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives as well as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced accounting environment, manage priorities and workflow and work overtime as needed
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel user; Proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • NetSuite ERP experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare assigned journal entries and maintain recurring journal entries on a monthly basis
  • Create and maintain assigned Balance Sheet and Income Statement account analysis and ensure supporting documentation is obtained for all balances
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Investigate and correct inconsistencies in financial entries and accounts prior to month-end close
  • Research and report variances in budget to Accounting Manager
  • Assist with creation of timely and accurate financial statements
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
  • Act as Lead and provide information for external financial audits
  • Forecast cash flow positions related to borrowing needs and publish weekly cash flow report to CEO and CFO
  • Prepare monthly schedules and reports, including: o Monthly sales commission scorecard o Preparation of quarterly profitability reporting o Service Leadership Reporting o Wells Fargo Compliance Certificate reporting
  • Analysis and preparation of monthly Deferred Revenue and Labor entries
  • Sales tax return preparation as backup
  • Calculate Commissions and ICP as backup for Payroll Senior Accountant
  • Assist with Customer and Vendor invoicing
  • Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as required
