About The Position

The Senior Accountant will perform core accounting responsibilities at a fast-paced information service company, ensuring the integrity of financial data. The role requires sound accounting knowledge, collaboration with team members and other departments, problem-solving, and participation in process improvement. Responsibilities include supporting month-end close, preparing and analyzing financial information, managing accruals, assisting with audits and internal controls, and partnering on accounting projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Nice To Haves

• CPA is desirable.
• SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements, meeting deadlines under a tight month-end close schedule.
• Develop and maintain internal and external reports and system queries, and verify and analyze reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze large quantities of complex data using Excel to research and draw conclusions from financial data.
• Identify potential discrepancies in financial data or accounting calculations and develop or recommend solutions.
• Manage the accrual process for various business units, including reviewing accruals for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with external audits and the internal controls assessment process.
• Partner with finance groups on projects and work with other departments to ensure proper accounting for new or unique transactions.
• Comply with financial reporting requirements, including census surveys.
• Participate in special projects and perform duties as assigned.
