About The Position

Plante Moran is seeking a relationship-focused financial professional to join their Healthcare Consulting Senior Living team in Cleveland, OH. This role combines accounting expertise with strategic problem-solving to help healthcare and senior living organizations achieve stronger financial results. The position offers the opportunity to go beyond traditional reporting and compliance, partnering directly with clients as a trusted advisor to navigate financial challenges and gain exposure to diverse client environments. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3+ years of full charge staff accountant experience including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations and workpaper preparation experience
Strong Excel skills
Fixed assets and depreciation
Payroll, including preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings
Travel throughout the eastern and central time zones on occasion with approximately 5% overnight travel

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred but not required
Experience with PointClickCare or Sage Intacct preferred
Yardi, Peachtree and/or Creative Solutions a plus
Experience with FX and/or FAS preferred

Responsibilities

Partner with client leadership teams to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting initiatives.
Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies by reconciling subsidiary systems with the general ledger.
