About The Position

FIGS is hiring a Senior Accountant for its SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting function. Reporting to the Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting, this role is responsible for financial reporting, technical accounting, and stock administration. The position prepares and files external reports required by the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and researches technical accounting matters. It also supports quarterly reviews and the annual audit, prepares management reports, implements accounting policies, and contributes to accounting and finance projects. The role prepares financial statements and footnote disclosures for internal and external reporting, reviews financial information in external communications, supports auditor reviews and internal-control audits, and manages stock administration and equity compensation accounting. It monitors accounting literature, supports corporate accounting policy documentation, and assists with financial due diligence and integration related to acquisitions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA with 2–5 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Experience working at a public company or SEC registrant.
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including equity and stock compensation accounting.
Ability to conduct research using various resources and effectively communicate results.
Strong technical accounting, analytical, and technical writing skills, including the ability to research, articulate, and document complex accounting issues.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask.
Strong organization and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to develop positions and present to management, auditors, and non-accounting stakeholders.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

E-commerce experience.
Experience with stock administration.
Experience with NetSuite, Workiva, and/or Equity Edge.
Understanding of APIs or integrations between NetSuite, Workiva, and Equity Edge.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures for internal and external reporting, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K disclosures and earnings releases.
Prepare and file SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and other applicable filings.
Review financial information in external communications, including investor and analyst conference materials, earnings calls, and press releases.
Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP disclosure checklists.
Support external auditors' audits and reviews of SEC filings and audits of internal controls.
Manage stock administration and equity compensation accounting.
Research, interpret, and implement new accounting policies and complex U.S. GAAP matters.
Monitor accounting literature and identify changes to accounting policies as needed.
Assist with documenting and maintaining corporate accounting policies.
Assist with financial due diligence and integration related to acquisitions.
Build management reports and contribute to accounting and finance projects.
