About The Position
TalentFish is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take hands-on ownership of core accounting functions — including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting — within their Workday Financials environment. This is a contract role that is remote, with the potential for hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 4+ years of staff accounting experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years
- Deep, hands-on Workday Financials experience across GL, AP/AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting
- Direct ownership of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong accounting fundamentals — accruals, adjusting entries, and reconciliations
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred
- Workday AP or implementation experience a plus
- EPIC experience a bonus
Responsibilities
- Execute and support the full month-end close process with accuracy and accountability
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting within Workday
- Research accounting rules and regulations and recommend appropriate treatment for accounting issues
- Support the annual audit, budget process, and required tax filings
- Review the work of other accountants and serve as an internal consultant on projects within your area of ownership
- Communicate financial results and accounting processes clearly to leadership and maintain key external relationships
