This position is a contract role with Mochi Medical, a physician-owned professional corporation affiliated with Mochi Health Corp. Mochi Health is a management service organization that supports Mochi Medical by providing administrative and operational services, but the role and clinical practice are with Mochi Medical. Full-time / Onsite (5 days/week) About The Role As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. You’ll be responsible for supporting core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and helping the company make informed financial decisions. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Accounting background, in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail, multi tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
  • Experience owning or supporting multiple software implementations
  • Experience managing AP functions, month end close activities in early stage start up

Responsibilities

  • Own full cycle Accounts Payable: Review vendor setup, GL invoice coding, check requests, expense reports, and vendor payments.
  • Manage vendor relationships and address payment issues promptly.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and resolve monthly & daily cash entries in QBO.
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, amortizations, reclasses, and intercompany allocations.
  • Assist with month-end close tasks per close calendar including preparation of detailed supporting schedules.
  • Assist with monthly flux analysis for the balance sheet and income statement to identify variances and trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with the People, Engineering, Marketing and other Operations teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Create and manage process flow for all material processes in areas of P2P and R2R activities to ensure proper internal controls.
  • Support team during annual audit as required.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of new ERP software & other initiatives.
  • Any other projects assigned by the Head of Finance.
