About The Position

Franklin Biolabs, Inc. is in search of a Senior Accountant who plays a key role in accounting and finance activities, including month end close, financial reporting, and ad hoc analyses to support the growing business. The Senior Accountant supports the CFO by delivering accurate and timely financial results and analyses, which support informed decision-making and organizational success. This role also supports implementation and integration of Company financial technology and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related Finance field required
• Minimum of 5 years’ GL accounting experience
• Experience with accounting ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and financial technology platforms
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance standards
• Knowledge of audit processes and requirements, including preparation of supporting documentation
• Ability to distinguish between different colors (normal color vision)
• Ability to see clearly at various distances
• Adequate near vision for reading documents and spreadsheets
• Ability to focus and maintain concentration in tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work in environments with varying light conditions

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in the life sciences, CRO, or biotech industry preferred
• CPA or CFA designation preferred

Responsibilities

• Month end close
• Financial reporting
• Ad hoc analyses to support the growing business
• Delivering accurate and timely financial results and analyses
• Supporting implementation and integration of Company financial technology and infrastructure
• Performing full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
• Identifying variances, trends and providing actionable insights from financial data
• Preparing accurate financial reports and analysis
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Explaining complex financial information
• Working independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a small finance team in a growing organization
