About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Accountant who will report to the Controller and be responsible for technical accounting issues, policies and procedures, finance special projects, SOX compliance, and supporting external financial reporting. While accounting skills are a definite requirement for this role, the position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to integrate those skills with insight and knowledge into Teradyne's manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role that requires someone with attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and desire to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team. You will be a key member of a high performing accounting function supporting one of Teradyne’s businesses.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
6+ years of related accounting experience
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred
public company experience strongly preferred
Multi-national / global company experience in technology, manufacturing or industrial industries preferred
Strong understanding of ASC-606 and international revenue recognition policies

Responsibilities

Manage month-end close process: ensure accurate and timely completion of journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and financial statements adhering to GAAP
Support broader accounting & audit tasks: coordinate ad-hoc projects, assist with internal/external audits, and uphold company standards while providing support to business partners and management
Assist with quarter end activities, such as accruals, journal entry processing, reconciliations, and consolidations
Oversee revenue recognition, project/deal flux analysis, and all activities associated with these
Develop a solid understanding of the business process and GAAP to ensure accurate revenue recognition
