About The Position

Our client is a fast-growing international technology company providing digital commerce and payment solutions to businesses across Europe. Operating in a dynamic, international environment, they support well-known brands with scalable e-commerce, subscription, and payment platforms. They are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting activities while collaborating closely with French-speaking stakeholders. Therefore, strong French communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance/Mathematics/Business administration or similar.
  • At least 2.5 years of professional experience in accounting; experience in similar positions would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken & written), French language at least B2 level is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive approach.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with multiple customers would be considered an advantage.
  • Good MS Office skills and experience with different ERP systems would be an advantage.
  • IT savviness and the ability to foresee and engage in the reporting and accounting process improvement would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for the complex accounting and financial reporting.
  • Controlling and coordinating the monthly closing process and other accounting processes.
  • Liaising with customers, (tax) advisors, lawyers, auditors and other professionals.
  • Mentoring junior staff on all accounting matters.
  • Offering professional solutions and advice to colleagues and clients.
