Senior Accountant (Bilingual in Mandarin)
About The Position
Bodorlaser Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the full-cycle accounting operations of our U.S. subsidiary. This position will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting related to equipment sales, import/export transactions, and other business operations. The Senior Accountant will also work closely with external CPAs and accounting firms on tax filings, audits, and other regulatory matters. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on accounting experience in the United States and is comfortable independently managing day-to-day accounting activities in a fast-paced, international business environment.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of accounting experience, including hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
- Prior accounting experience in the United States.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and U.S. accounting practices.
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Working knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and related accounting processes.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Accounting experience in manufacturing equipment, industrial machinery, trading, import/export, or a related industry.
- Experience working for a Chinese-headquartered company's U.S. subsidiary or in another multinational business environment.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience coordinating with external CPAs, auditors, and tax professionals.
- U.S. CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for the U.S. subsidiary, including general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and accurately record daily receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Handle accounting activities related to equipment sales, trading, import/export transactions, and related business operations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external CPAs and accounting firms on federal, state, and local tax filings, audits, and tax authority inquiries.
- Maintain and organize U.S. accounting, tax, and financial documentation in accordance with company requirements and applicable recordkeeping standards.
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and support financial data management and reporting through the company's internal financial systems.
- Assist with account analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and headquarters to support financial operations and resolve accounting-related matters.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
