About The Position

Arvo Advisors is seeking a self-motivated Senior Accountant to support the firm's management, provide leadership, and guide team members on all aspects of client work. This role involves significant ownership of client relationships and technical work, with regular opportunities for direct client interaction and consulting. Arvo Advisors is a team of tax and accounting experts who combine deep industry experience with modern technology to assist growing businesses with financials, tax strategy, credit optimization, and compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, with progressive experience in tax preparation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including directly with clients
• Ability to mentor and guide less experienced staff
• Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in tax compliance services for a diverse range of clients
• Experience in compilation and bookkeeping
• Knowledge of the Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software suite (UltraTax, Fixed Asset CS, Planner CS, Accounting CS, Onvio, and Practice CS)
• Use of QuickBooks

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust & Individual income tax returns under the guidance of Client Managers
• Making journal entries to generate accurate books and records for clients
• Responding to clients’ needs, recognizing client issues, and suggesting solutions
• Researching accounting and tax topics relating to specific clients
• Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Serving as a point of escalation and guidance for less experienced staff on client work
• Assisting with new company initiatives related to supporting programs that improve workplace efficiency and business growth
