Responsibilities

  • Support assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close — including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations — helping ensure an accurate, timely close within established deadlines.
  • Assist the Finance team with standard costing, help analyze purchase price and manufacturing variances, and reconcile inventory across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; participate in cycle counts and physical inventories alongside operations.
  • Partner with plant controllers to help track, analyze, and report cost of sales, assist in investigating margin fluctuations, and prepare variance commentary for review by senior finance staff.
  • Help account for trade promotions, customer deductions, and chargebacks; assist with reconciling trade accruals and supporting gross-to-net revenue analysis.
  • Maintain assigned GL accounts, prepare reconciliations for review, research discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports in accordance with IFRS and guidance provided by Group controllership, support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support external audit requests, maintain strong internal controls, help document and improve accounting processes and policies.
  • Assist with sales/use tax, excise, and other regulatory filings relevant to manufactured consumer goods.
  • Identify and implement automation and efficiency opportunities within the ERP and close process.
