About The Position

Our client is a nationally recognized, fast-growing industrial company with a values-driven culture and a reputation for professionalism, competence, and integrity. The Senior Accountant will join the shared-services organization, which supports a growing portfolio of businesses under common ownership. This role owns the multi-entity month-end close and serves as the team’s go-to GAAP expert. As the organization grows, the Senior Accountant will mentor junior staff and improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 6–8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years at the Senior level.
• Track record of owning financial processes end to end and improving workflows.
• Collaborative, with strong communication skills and a desire to develop others.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and cloud accounting software.

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred.
• Xero preferred.
• Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with BI reporting tools such as Metabase or BigQuery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the monthly close and financial reporting for multiple entities, including reviewing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices, accurate reporting, and professional growth.
• Oversee GAAP compliance, accounting policies, and the documentation and implementation of internal controls.
• Ensure state and federal licensing and reporting requirements are filed on time.
• Lead the preparation of documentation and analysis for auditor and tax advisor PBC requests.
• Identify and implement improvements to standard operating procedures and accounting workflows.
• Work with other departments to review monthly general ledger activity and streamline reporting.
• Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
