The Senior Accountant will manage a variety of tax, audit and other assignments as designated by the Supervisor or Manager. At this level, the Senior Accountant should function with minimal supervision and increased focus is placed on supervising and mentoring Staff, independent problem solving, strengthening client relationships and increasing team profitability. This posting is primarily focused on prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PWA) compliance and renewable energy–related engagements. While the position operates within the Firm’s broader Tax/Audit practice, the individual in this role will spend the majority of their time supporting clients with PWA compliance, renewable energy tax credit projects, and related consulting engagements, while developing specialized technical expertise in these areas. The responsibilities, qualifications and expectations outlined in this job description apply broadly; however, day-to-day assignments and client work will be aligned primarily with PWA compliance and renewable energy–related engagements based on business needs. Key focus areas may include: Prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance analyses and reporting Renewable energy tax credit projects, including Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC) engagements Review and analysis of certified payroll, contractor documentation, and compliance records Agreed-upon procedures engagements and client-facing compliance deliverables Research and application of Department of Labor and IRS guidance related to PWA and tax credits.
