Position Summary : Under minimal supervision, the Senior Accountant works to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all transactions in the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This includes all activities related to the global accounting function: close procedures, preparation, review and analysis, maintaining a strong control environment and other activities necessary to support consolidated financial statements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or relevant industry experience (combination preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Excel required, experience with SAP and OneStream a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or equivalent strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation and review of monthly accounting close procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls, as well as the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Specific month-end close activities include:
  • Preparation and review of journal entries for operating companies, as well as consolidation and elimination entries
  • Record, analyze and review inter- and intra- company transactions
  • Review of trial balances and monthly trends; perform additional review as needed to support the close
  • Analysis and review of operating company financial statements, both foreign and domestic
  • Preparation and review of monthly U.S. GAAP financial statements including, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
  • Preparation and review of high-quality balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support a sustainable and efficient close and reporting process with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Preparation of quarterly external reporting deliverables and support of internal and external audit requirements.
