About The Position

Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Grand Island office. This role offers variety, opportunities to build skills in both audit and tax, and a chance to get to know the people behind the numbers. The Senior Accountant will work with nonprofit, governmental, and commercial clients across multiple engagements. Responsibilities include being part of audit teams, preparing financial statements and tax returns, assisting with other accounting services, and building client relationships.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Approximately two to four years of recent audit or tax experience in public accounting
• An active CPA license or progress toward becoming a CPA
• Strong analytical, research, communication, and organizational skills
• The ability to manage deadlines across multiple engagements and work professionally with clients

Responsibilities

• Work on audit and tax engagements, often with several projects underway at once
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other client deliverables
• Research accounting and tax questions and communicate findings clearly
• Develop audit, tax planning, preparation, and review skills
• Build client relationships and take on more responsibility as you grow
