About The Position

This position is responsible for providing support to the General Accounting team within the Enterprise Service Center (ESC). This position oversees and manages the financial records related to expenses and balance sheet; ensures that software and other tools are available and functional to efficiently and effectively process accounts; ensures that process flows and accountabilities are clearly defined and followed to maintain strong internal controls and safeguard the assets of ABM Industries; manages a team that performs the processing of cash, bank, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, commissions and other general expenses accounting records; ensures that appropriate accounting related training is provided; ensures that appropriate benchmarks are in place to monitor performance of personnel and systems; and oversees process improvement efforts.

Requirements

Support to the General Accounting team within the Enterprise Service Center (ESC).
Management of financial records related to expenses and balance sheet.
Ensuring availability and functionality of software and tools for efficient processing.
Definition and adherence to process flows and accountabilities for internal controls and asset safeguarding.
Management of a team processing cash, bank, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, commissions, and other general expenses accounting records.
Provision of appropriate accounting-related training.
Establishment of benchmarks for monitoring personnel and system performance.
Oversight of process improvement efforts.
