About The Position

The Senior Accountant handles accounting-related activities for assigned departments, including budgeting and outlooks, accounts payable invoice coding, balance sheet account maintenance and reconciliations, and journal entries. The role serves as a liaison between department executives and the accounting department, supports finance-related IT projects, and provides accounting support for ad hoc requests and new business activities. The position also performs other duties as assigned by management and follows applicable legal policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting-related aspects of assigned departments, including accounting, outlooks and budgeting, and coding accounts payable invoices.
• Maintain and reconcile selected balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare accurate, timely journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly department outlooks and forecasts.
• Act as a liaison between department executives and the accounting department.
• Support and assist with finance-related IT projects.
• Provide accounting support for ad hoc requests and new business activities.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by the manager and upper management.
• Follow legal policies as directed.
