We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a reporting unit in concert with Divisional and Corporate accounting policies and procedures. This position is responsible for supporting the review and analysis of the financial performance of a reporting unit; this includes the completion of reports, charts and diagrams that provide a basis for comparison and evaluation. This position is also responsible for providing ad hoc analysis to support financial forecasts, internal management reporting, benchmarking and monitoring of key indicators. This individual will work closely with the accounting personnel to perform accounting process documentation. Other responsibilities include timely and accurate completion of the monthly book close process and the weekly forecasts. Essential Functions This position reports to the Director, Reporting & Administration - Controllership and will have 0 direct and indirect reports. Up to 10% domestic travel required for this role.

Requirements

• Bachelors with 5+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 7+ years relevant experience or 9+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with an annual revenue base of $50M or greater.
• 3+ years of experience in standard cost accounting and inventory reporting and analysis.
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience including account reconciliations, journal entries, and a basic understanding of internal controls.
• Proficiency in data analysis and tools used to evaluate data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue recognition under percent complete for compliance and reasonableness.
• Monitor and collaborate with site controllers on reporting and process narratives.
• Responsible for certain monthly financial closing tasks related to a site.
• Effectively communicate the results of the cost analysis performed with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies.
• Provide audit support.
• Assist with various Power BI and data automation requests.
• Assist with various report generation for operations management.
• Work with the site personnel to gather data and explanations to support revenue recognition analysis.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and participate in special projects to positively impact the accounting team and business.
• Act as a team player, ready to perform other duties as needed and assigned to meet function and business needs.
