We're looking for a detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our Fergus Falls, MN Finance team and take ownership of monthly financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Discretion with sensitive and confidential information
- Clear communication skills — written and verbal
- High level of professionalism and integrity
Nice To Haves
- MAS 500 experience a plus
- Familiarity with sales tax regulations a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and distributing monthly financial statements and support P&L reviews
- Manage and reconcile the general ledger; compile monthly balance sheet documentation
- Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the fixed asset system, including capital expenditures and related policies
- Perform financial analysis — product profitability, cost accounting, and more
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and internal control structures
- Provide backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliations
- Back up the monthly inventory process and perform internal audit procedures
- Assist with schedules and working papers for the annual financial statement audit
- Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
