Senior Accountant
About The Position
We're seeking a Senior Accountant to own the accounting and reporting for one of HireRight's largest global expense categories, Data Cost. This role partners closely with Operations, FP&A, and Accounting leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, improve forecasting, and drive process improvements across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys combining strong technical accounting skills with business partnership, data analysis, and process improvement. This is a hybrid role requiring three onsite days per week based in our downtown Nashville, TN HQ location.
Requirements
- CPA required
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve efficiency
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Dynamics 365 and/or BlackLine preferred
Responsibilities
- Own monthly accounting, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting for global data costs
- Partner with Operations, Finance Analytics, and FP&A to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting
- Analyze cost trends and explain monthly fluctuations
- Support month-end close and external audit activities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and automation
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives
