Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- A minimum of three (3) years progressive Accounting experience is required.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supervising and staff development is preferred.
- Experience with accounting and purchasing software (Great Plains and Stratton Warren) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with fiscal month end closing including financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Assist with all aspects of various audit engagements including but not limited to: Financial, Workers Compensation, Insurance, and New York State Gaming Commission.
- Oversee timely reconciliation of corporate bank accounts.
- Oversee and maintain Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure and Prepaid schedules.
- Review and prepare AP and AR transactions.
- Assist with monthly physical inventory and cost of goods sold calculation.
- Maintain integrity of internal controls and proper accounting practices.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Promote outstanding customer relations.
