Your Impact As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Accelevation’s financial information. Your work will directly support leadership decision-making, financial reporting, and audit readiness as the company continues to scale rapidly. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in general accounting or a related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Preparing, reviewing, and adjusting standard and non-standard journal entries
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities within established deadlines
  • Assisting with preparation of audit support and documentation for periodic financial statement audits
  • Performing intuitive ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed
  • Reviewing general ledger activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
  • Analyzing existing accounting procedures and recommending improvements to implement best practices
  • Leading seasonal or special general accounting project initiatives as assigned
  • Serving as a resource for accounting questions and providing ad-hoc analytical support across the organization
  • Maintaining a strong focus on internal controls and continuously assessing control effectiveness
  • Backfilling responsibilities for other accountants as needed to ensure continuity of operations
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable accounting standards
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Performing other duties as assigned
