About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team and provide critical support during the month-end close process. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work independently, and is comfortable taking ownership of key accounting functions from day one. The ideal candidate will bring a strong corporate accounting background, a solid understanding of GAAP, and hands-on experience with complex reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and lease accounting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Senior Accountant-level experience required
Strong month-end close experience
Corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel skills preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and record month-end journal entries and accruals, including: Accounts Payable accruals, Legal accruals, Bonus accruals, Expense accruals
Manage prepaid schedules and monthly amortization entries
Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and CIP accounting
Perform ASC 842 lease accounting, including lease reconciliations and monthly entries
Support intercompany and elimination entries as needed
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
Analyze account activity and investigate variances
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Support audit requests and provide accounting documentation as required
Identify process improvements and assist with special projects
