About The Position
This role is on a hybrid schedule and will be in office periodically. The Envysion Finance department focuses on Motorola Solutions' fixed and mobile video, access control, and software solutions, including portfolios like Avigilon Alta, Avigilon Unity, Pelco & Envysion. These solutions help users find, analyze, and share information to respond to events with speed and decisiveness, ensuring the safety of people and property. The department offers solutions for deploying video security, access control, equipping teams with body-worn cameras, and leveraging analytics through purpose-built applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Accounting
- 3+ years of related Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel and Google knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years in Accounting
Nice To Haves
- CPA
- Previous experience in a growing subscription revenue business is an asset
- US GAAP knowledge is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet multiple tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly accounting close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations and reporting
- Analyze financial information and provide recommendations for any issues
- Complete subscription revenue based journal entries such as deferred revenue
- Act as a main contact for the Accounting team to other areas of the business
- Establish and enforce strong financial controls
- Perform US GAAP analysis for complex accounting issues
- Calculate and submit commissions for payment
- Review accounts payable transactions monitor related monthly cash activity
- Ability to export and organize large amounts of complex data to drive business decisions
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as required by the business
