Senior Accountant

About The Position

AZDS Interactive Group is the world’s leading digital agency for the luxury hospitality industry, delivering innovative marketing, website, and SaaS solutions to top-tier travel brands. Our clients range from Montage Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz London to Aspen Skiing Company and 500+ luxury properties across 6 continents. We’re a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team of ~30 employees and a global contractor network. We’re fast-moving, results-oriented, and genuinely proud of the work we put out. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who is sharp, dependable, and genuinely cares about doing things right. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and timeliness matter above all else. You’ll own the day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, close, reconciliations, etc) and work directly with our VP of Finance. This isn’t a role where you’ll be handed a perfect playbook. There are processes that need to be tightened, workflows that are still more manual than they should be, and room to make real improvements if you have the curiosity and initiative to identify them. We’re looking for someone who executes first and then asks: “how do we do this better?” and brings ideas to the table proactively. Over time, as you grow in the role and as the company scales, there is a clear path toward greater ownership of the finance function.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong foundation in full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, particularly around revenue recognition across multiple streams.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with Harvest, Fyle, Bill.com or similar tools is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Suite.
  • Agency or SaaS industry background preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
  • You ask questions when you’re stuck, take feedback well, and come back with solutions; not just problems.
  • Intellectually curious and process-minded: you notice when something is inefficient and do something about it.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily transaction booking, and cash flow support.
  • Drive month-end close with accuracy and on time: P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Manage invoicing and collections across multiple revenue streams (agency project fees, digital marketing retainers, and SaaS licensing).
  • Perform account reconciliations and support deferred revenue tracking.
  • Support KPI reporting and budget vs. actual analysis as you ramp up; light involvement initially, growing over time.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and bring recommendations to the Head of Finance proactively.
  • Assist with annual 1099 preparation and submission.
  • Take on ad-hoc projects and analysis as business needs evolve.

Benefits

  • Flexible time off policy – no set limit per employee.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance; 100% covered for the employee.
  • Company sponsored life insurance.
  • Paid holidays.
