About The Position

The Senior Accountant role is within the Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) group, responsible for providing Senior Accountant-level accounting services. This includes processing payables and receivables, and managing various other accounting operations for assigned clients. The position is located in the Ithaca, NY office and offers workplace flexibility. CAAS services encompass full-service CFO Advisory Services, controller functions, bookkeeping, vendor bill processing and payment, customer invoicing, payroll processing and tax reporting, and sales tax preparation. The role involves collaborating with innovative thinkers to help businesses maximize their financial and accounting opportunities.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and workflow
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the responsibilities of assigned CAAS transactional staff
  • Oversee timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
  • Oversee accounts receivable invoices and application of payments
  • Manage payroll processing and reporting
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns
  • Perform accounting system cleanups
  • Assist with the month-end closing process for assigned clients
