About The Position

Pinnacle Marketing Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and help maintain accurate, timely, and compliant accounting operations. The role contributes to reporting, budgets, and analysis presented to company leadership and the Board of Directors. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of general accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, the full accounting cycle, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar, and strong Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Discretion with confidential information.

Nice To Haves

• Marketing, media, or service-industry experience.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring transactions are coded accurately.
• Support payroll processing by reviewing payroll data and recording payroll journal entries.
• Gather department-level data to support the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare cash position reports.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks and prepare draft financial statements.
• Prepare budget-to-actual variance reports and support budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules for the independent accounting firm and assist with sales/use and property tax filings.
