About The Position

National Digital Trust Company (NDTC) has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to open as a federally chartered trust bank. NDTC is building a specialized financial institution to provide a broad range of digital asset services, focusing on digital asset custody. The Senior Accountant will work with foundational systems and processes to help shape the operating model and influence how a new category of financial infrastructure comes to market. The company is looking for builders who handle complexity with confidence and tackle ambitious opportunities while keeping pace with this rapidly evolving industry.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Workday general ledger and accounts payable is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • A teammate who works efficiently and independently.
  • Proven self-starter with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Interest in the digital asset space and desire to learn more is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Start-up experience preferred.
  • CPA highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in digital assets (e.g. crypto) is not required.
  • Experience with T&E platform tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting functions including booking transactions and monitoring accounts in the Workday general ledger daily.
  • Assist in the month-end close process.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives.
  • Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
  • Assist with completion of the quarterly regulatory filings and annual tax filings, including documentation management.
  • Assist with 1099 tax filings.
  • Assist with the annual external financial audit, completing requested materials and assisting in preparing assigned schedules.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage daily cash transactions.
  • Manage entire AP processing, including W9 record keeping and vendor correspondences.
  • Record and reconcile employee expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Assist Controller with payroll system and payroll-related items.
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and accounting systems.
  • Develop/update documentation and training materials for existing policies and procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.
