The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the General Ledger team of William Hill Nevada in preparing accounting records and administering financial processes. This role involves working on a hybrid-remote schedule, gaining knowledge of sports betting systems and underlying calculations, and creating and reviewing detailed, complex spreadsheets. The position requires adherence to GAAP principles, SOX compliance, and internal controls, as well as preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will train and coach staff accountants, assist them with problem-solving and researching discrepancies, and support Accounting Managers with Lease and Contract Accounting. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual/annual revenue and profit shares, overseeing partner billing submissions and receivables, and preparing business licenses. The role also involves communicating monthly results, maintaining partner relationships, assisting with audit requests, and supporting management with ad hoc requests. Teamwork, upholding departmental policies, and maintaining quality standards are essential.
