Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience supporting month-end close, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation
  • Experience with Workday and BlackLine
  • Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and actively support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet and P&L accounts in accordance with GAAP, identifying and resolving variances
  • Review and interpret financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
  • Partner with FP&A to investigate and explain variances between actual results, budget, and prior year performance
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all variances are appropriately researched and documented
  • Support the resolution of open items in the Cash Clearing account, ensuring timely and accurate application
  • Own and manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and reporting for all lease arrangements
  • Ensure adherence to established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of key controls and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Respond to information requests and support both internal and external audit processes
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports and analytical insights to support business decision-making
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities related to month-end close, expense management, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Corporate Controller
