About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team and support the financial operations of multiple plant locations. This role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast (near Pennsylvania), and includes occasional travel to plant locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (2–3 times per year). The Senior Accountant will oversee core accounting activities including accounts payable oversight, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This position reports directly to the Financial Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3–5+ years of experience in public accounting or related industry accounting roles
• Proficiency with accounting software (Great Plains experience)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned plants and projects
• Prepare month-end journal entries and perform account reconciliations
• Support accounts payable, audits, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
• Analyze and communicate budget-to-actual variances
• Support budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, and ad-hoc projects
• Travel occasionally to PA and NJ plant locations to support operations
