The Senior Accountant is a key leadership position responsible for the full scope of FSRV’s financial operations. You’ll serve as part of our All-Leadership Team working closely with the President/CEO and provide financial expertise to the Board of Directors’ Finance Committee. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience (required)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication, you can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable information
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with employees, board members, and administrators
  • A genuine commitment to cultural humility and diversity in all professional interactions
  • Openness to developing knowledge around poverty, trauma, attachment, and resilience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in grant financial management and nonprofit budgeting (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, asset control, and cash management.
  • Partner with the President/CEO and Chief Program Officer to manage grant financial commitments, develop program budgets, and prepare invoices.
  • Produce detailed accounting statements outlining funds utilized and funds remaining in grant accounts.
  • Support the development of FSRV’s annual operating budget.
  • Assist with external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking officers and monitor loan compliance.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to requests for financial documents for committee meetings, grant applications, and grant reporting.
  • Communicate with all employees and stakeholders using trauma-informed practices and in alignment with FSRV’s Leadership Charter.
