About The Position

Karman Industries is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. The successful candidate will review month-end reconciliations and accruals prepared by our outsourced accounting team, own the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and support project accounting and month-end variance review - all while helping the team transition to new systems and processes. This role requires broad ownership spanning close review, payables, receivables, and process improvement, with real opportunity to help build scalable accounting infrastructure as Karman scales from prototype to volume production. We are a team that values first-principles thinking, hands-on problem solving, and close cross-functional collaboration to deliver accurate, timely, and well-controlled financials. This role is on-site and does not have travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving systems and processes

  • CPA license or active CPA candidacy
  • Experience with project accounting
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, hardware, or industrial company
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting and analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Review month-end reconciliations and accrual entries prepared by Karman’s outsourced accounting team, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Review and approve credit card transaction categorizations prior to posting in QuickBooks
  • Support project accounting, including cost tracking and budget-to-actual reporting on active projects
  • Own the accounts payable process, including three-way match (purchase order, receipt, and invoice) and payment
  • Own the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collections
  • Support one-off accounting projects tied to new system implementations and process transitions, including data migration, testing, and process documentation
  • Partner with the broader team to strengthen close processes, internal controls, and documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
  • Support internal and external audit requests with documentation, reconciliations, and analysis
