About The Position
Ascension Health Ministry Service Center is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance Administration department. This is a full-time, hybrid role located in Indianapolis, IN, with a Monday-Friday schedule. The Senior Accountant will perform planning, coordination, and administration of complex and significant accounting activities. This includes preparing and maintaining complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and subsidiary ledgers. The role also involves preparing, analyzing, and explaining trend information, and assisting with paperwork for the annual audit.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Accountant Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed preferred.
- Bachelors of Accounting with 7-10 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience with Oracle and Google Suite is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform planning, coordination and administration of complex and significant accounting activities.
- Prepare and maintain complex and significant journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare, analyze maintains, and explain trend information.
- Assist with paperwork associated with the annual audit.
