The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations including posting entries to the general ledger, analyzing data, managing month-end close processes and collaborating with employees throughout the organization. This position also works with third party auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Accounting role
  • Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and accounting systems
  • Capable of communicating with all levels within the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supporting international subsidiaries in a global environment
  • Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Must thrive in a team environment
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting established month end close deadlines for preparing journal entries.
  • Lead the resolution of issues on all assigned accounts and reconciliations to ensure proper and accurate reporting.
  • Identify areas of concern in accounting records and provide proactive analysis and support to the company.
  • Prepare audit schedules and work with auditors on questions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting controls, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements.
  • Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed.
  • Assist with consolidation processes including review and recording of reporting packages from international locations, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency accounting.
  • Assist with purchase accounting and integration of acquisitions.
  • All other duties as assigned.
