About The Position
BMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused accountant to join its growing Client Accounting Solutions (CAS) team. Based in the Ridgeland, Mississippi office, this role provides hands-on accounting services to a variety of clients, supporting their ongoing operations and financial success. The position involves client interaction and collaboration with a supportive team, with opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll processes, including multi-state experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Located near a BMSS office or willing to commute or relocate.
Nice To Haves
- Public accounting experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day accounting support, including general ledger management, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
- Prepare monthly financial statements tailored to client needs.
- Assist with multi-state payrolls and complex payroll structures.
- Deliver high-quality service aligned with firm standards and client expectations.
- Communicate proactively with clients to address needs and identify opportunities.
